NEIGHBORS 2 CASTING – Now titled Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, the sequel has added Selena Gomez to the cast.
Gomez reprises her voice role as Mavis in Hotel Transylvania 2 and is also appearing in The Big Short alongside Brad Pitt and Christian Bale.
The 2014 comedy stars Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as a young couple with a newborn daughter who are living a rather boring life in the suburbs. When pretty boy Zac Efron moves in next door with his frat, the epic parties are way too much for the couple, so they decide to teach them a lesson. However, what was only supposed to be a battle of pranks escalates into an all-out war of sabotage.
At a budget of $18 million, the comedy was a major box office hit, bringing in over $268 million. With profits like those, it’s no brainer the studio has already been pushing for a sequel. As of now, no plot details have been revealed.
Neighbors 2 is directed by Nicholas Stoller and also stars Chloë Grace Moretz and Dave Franco.
